The latest report from the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) on the British construction industry reveals concerning statistics: in the 2022/23 period, 69,000 workers suffered from work-related ill health, while 53,000 experienced non-fatal injuries. Amongst these statistics on the British construction industry, were musculoskeletal disorders such as Hand Arm Vibration Syndrome (HAVS) which afflicted 54% of these workers. This highlights a significant portion of individuals facing what may be life changing conditions that could be have been prevented with proper practices and precautions in place.
